Makeup Tools
Having the proper tools is as important as having the correct makeup products. These are the tools I trust when applying my makeup.
1. The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is great for applying foundation or concealer. Its rounded sides can be used for large areas in the face, while the tip can be used to cover up any acne spots or imperfections. The flat side is perfect for concealer or getting around the nose. As a bonus, you can use it damp for a great dewy finish.
2. For setting the foundation, use the e.l.f. Ultimate Blending Brush to apply powder. Its bristles are densely packed so you can use it on your entire face.
3. Apply your bronzer or contour with the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Blending Brush. From the moment I gave it the first try, I knew this brush was a hit! It leaves a streak-free finish and is very easy to use.
4. The M.A.C. 116 Blush Brush has the perfect shape for applying blush.
5. The e.l.f. Small Stipple Brush is the perfect size for applying highlight.
6. Brush and shape your eyebrows with this soft e.l.f. Lash & Brow Comb.
Now that we're done with the face, it is now time to move onto the eyes.
7. For highlighting underneath the brow bone and near the tear duct, use the very precise M.A.C. 219 Pencil Brush.
8. When applying the shadow all over the lid, use the M.A.C. 239 Eye Shader Brush.
9. To apply the crease color, I use the brush in the Urban Decay Naked 2 Eyeshadow Palette, since it is the palette I almost always head onto.
10. Blend, blend, blend. For this very important step, I rely on the M.A.C. 217 Blending Brush. It can be used on both powder and liquid shadows!
I hope this post helps you out in the wonderful world of makeup! What tools do you love you think I should try out?
