I cannot believe it's already been a year since the pandemic started. It has been such a difficult year for everyone, but blogging has helped me channel some energy into something else rather than worrying all the time. I am hopeful this will soon end and we will all go back to our "normal." In the meantime, here are some of my favorites from this past month.

Command Picture Hanging Strips: Why had I not discovered these before?! Seriously, these velcro strips can be used to decorate just about any space in your house without damaging your walls. You can hang just about anything.

NIV, Beautiful Word Bible: After reading my Bible for some time, I realized I was spending more time in the dictionary than actually reading. While searching, I found the New International Version and saw this beautiful one, perfect to keep you motivated to keep reading.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes: A Hunger Games Novel: If you're a fan of the Hunger Games series or similar series, this is for you! I realize this is a YA novel, but I still enjoyed reading it.

Jumbled Mickey Mouse Case: Perfect for any Disney fan, and if you're ever bored you can tilt the phone and watch the glitter fall. It is very satisfying. Use this link for $10 off your next Casetify order.

We all love our pets so intensely, we would do anything for them. Why not wear matching styles as well to show all the love? On today's post I will be guiding you so you can create your own look to match with your fur baby.

Sewing machine
1 yd of fabric (more than enough)
Matching thread
1/4 Elastic 8" long
Patterns
Measuring tape
Scissors
Pins
Needle

Measure you pet's neck and divide by 2 to determine the size of pattern needed.

XS: 7"
S: 9"
M: 12"
L & XL: 15"

Print the pattern, cut it out, and place if on the fabric with the "FOLD" where the fabric is folded.
Pin it down and cut out the fabric.
Fold in all edges ½ in, pin, and press.
Fold all edges ½ in once more, pin, and press.
Sew these pinned edges all around.
Fold the top side down to create the leash pocket. Test it with your pet's leash and then pin it down. Sew the pocket using the stitches you already made as a guide and you are done!

Cut a piece of fabric 4" x 20".
Fold it in half lengthwise with right sides of the fabric facing each other, pin, and press.
Sew the lengthwise and flip it out so the right side of the fabric is now showing.
Cut the elastic 8" long.
Thread the elastic through the scrunchie.
Sew and secure the ends of the elastic together.
Place one end of the scrunchie into the other and fold the edge of the outside end in so it does not fray and pin it.
Hand sew these two ends all around and try not to catch the elastic while doing so and you are done!

Measure 3" x 37" on the fabric and cut it.
Fold it in half lengthwise with right sides of the fabric facing each other, pin, and press.
Sew lengthwise.
Flip it out so the right side of the fabric is now showing.
Fold in the free edges and sew to avoid fraying and you are done with the set!

If you have fabric left over, you can make a face mask or sew some more bandanas, scrunchies, and headbands to gift! I hope you enjoy making this set for you and your pet and that you take some great pictures to share your creation when you are done.

Now, last time I made a favorites post was forever ago, but I have been obsessed with a few things lately and thought I had to share with you all. There is something for just about anyone!

REVLON One-Step Hair Dryer And Volumizer Hot Air Brush: For anyone looking to simplify blow drying their hair, this is the solution. I know I am very late to the game, but I always thought this would not work on my curly hair, but after reading some reviews recently I decided to give it a try. It was SO worth it! It makes blow drying easy and fast. Works on almost any hair type too!

Bed Head Wave Artist Deep Waver: I love my short hair, but I like it even more when it has a bit of texture to it and is not super straight. I like to use this waver on the ends of my hair and I love it even more because it works with big chunks of hair at a time, which saves so much time!

INFINITIPRO BY CONAIR Tourmaline Ceramic Curling Wand: When I have a special event or something important coming up, I like to curl my hair. This tool is perfect for short hair like mine and is very easy to use, just wrap a piece of hair around it, wait about 8 seconds, and done!

Front Seat Dog Cover: If you own a pet that sheds, do not let that stop you from taking it on a car ride. It is important for pets to be driven once in a while so that they do not associate being in the car to going to the vet. This car seat cover is perfect for taking your pet on a ride without the hassle of dealing with the shedding afterwards.

Prayer Journal for Women: I like to journal and express myself through writing. It is easier for me to write than it is for me to speak. But sometimes, you need a little guidance as to what to write about and I find that this journal helps me do exactly that. I have had to cut down everything I want to write just to make it fit because I have found out that I have a lot more to say than I thought! It also makes me sit down every week and take time to think about what I want out of the upcoming week.

Paper Mate InkJoyAssorted Ink Pens: To go along with the beautiful journal, I went back to my childhood years and got this pack of colorful pens to make journaling even more fun. I like to choose a new color every week, but you can mix and combine in any way you want!

Electric Lighter: Buying matches or regular lighters get tiring, especially when you light candles daily. This is a rechargeable lighter that will save you money and the environment at the same time.
