Violin Essentials

by - 3/31/2021

If you are thinking about learning to play the violin and want to know what you need to get started, search no more. The following are some of the items I needed and eventually got when I started learning to play the violin.

1. Book: The Essential Elements for Strings has everything you need to get started learning.

2. Rosin: Scratch the top layer of it and apply to to your bow. This will create friction between your bow and strings.

3. Shoulder rest: For people with long necks, this will allow you to play without having to tilt your neck.

4. Tuner: Always tune your violin before practicing or playing.

5. Fret decal: Aids with proper finger placement.

6. Mute: Learning to play the violin takes A LOT of practice. Use this mute if you want to maximize your practice time without bothering others.

7. Microfiber cloth: ALWAYS wipe you violin after playing it or the resin will ruin the paint on your instrument.

8. Other fun books: Once you start getting more comfortable playing, you can try fun book with more popular songs.

I hope you get great use out of these items and that they help you create great moments and memories. What other accessories would you recommend?
