Cheap Advent Calendar Customization DIY
If you are looking for an inexpensive way to make someone feel special every day of December, customize a $1 Advent Calendar with your own personal messages. It is extremely easy to do and worth it! They will look forward to the next message all month long and you will bring a smile to their faces for at least a moment that day.
- Advent Calendar
- Printer (optional)
- Paper
- Tape
- Scissors
- Pen/Marker
- X-acto knife
- Print out or write down 24 messages. These can be compliments or inspirational messages. Get creative! You can print them out or write them in festive holiday colors, or you may use any regular pen.
- Cut the messages out making sure they will fit the doors of the calendar.
- Open the Advent Calendar through the seems on the back of the calendar carefully with the x-acto knife on the three sides. It should end up looking like an open book when you are done cutting.
- Remove the chocolate tray
- Tape the messages to the doors making sure the person will be able to read it once they open the door. You make fold them up if the message is too long.
- After placing all 24 messages on the doors put the tray back making sure the person will be able to remove the chocolate when they open the door (do not place the plastic side to the door)
- Close and tape down the edges of the calendar on the back.
- Your creation is ready to be gifted!
